Household Staff - Head Housekeeper

For a part-time residence located in central Paris, EDMAR International is seeking an experienced and flexible Head Housekeeper. The role involves supervising a team of two housekeepers and overseeing any temporary staff when the principals/guests are in residence (no more than three months of the year).

The ideal candidate should have previous experience working in a UHNW formal residence or as a Chief Stewardess on a large motor yacht.


Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation in all rooms, providing specialist care for upholstery, fabric, glass, leather, and other materials, with meticulous attention to the cleaning of paintings and antiques.
• Oversee the servicing of all areas, including implementing and monitoring cleaning schedules, conducting deep cleaning of bathrooms, equipping bathrooms with toiletries and towels, running taps during absences to clear pipes, and addressing limescale issues.
• Manage and maintain adequate stocking levels of all consumables.
• Prepare the property for visits, including making beds and coordinating with visiting staff regarding food requirements.
• Report all breakages, leaks, maintenance, and upkeep requirements to the Family Office & Property Management Company, and monitor the completion of these tasks.
• Develop and oversee housekeeping schedules.
• Handle the administrative management of the property, maintaining communication with the family office in London.
• Manage expenses, including monthly reporting of credit card expenses, managing petty cash, and recording property-related expenses during visits.
• Ensure the comfort, satisfaction, and safety of the occupants and their guests by fulfilling all reasonable requests.
• Coordinate with the family and their traveling staff to fulfill their requests.
• Ensure all laundry is washed, ironed, and stored correctly.
• Inspect all rooms before and during visits to ensure they meet the owners’ standards and requirements.

• Flexible to work longer hours/days when the residence is occupied, with two days off per week when not.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Strong administrative skills, technology savvy with good computer skills. Well-organized, proactive with good communication skills.
• Flexibility with working hours when the family is in residence is required.
• Adhere to a dress code when the family is in residence.
• Accommodation can be provided.
