Naval architect and Yacht designer

For an internationally renowned design firm specializing in marine design, yacht design, and product design is seeking EDMAR Int. is seeking a Naval Architect, Design Engineer, Product Designer, or Yacht Designer to join the dynamic team. The role focuses on diverse marine applications, yacht design, and product innovation, combining technical proficiency with creative design solutions.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work closely within a team on a variety of projects, from initial design brief to delivery, and provide both creative input and technical support throughout the detailed design, engineering, and build phases.

Responsibilities include:
• Collaborating in the creative and team-based development of vessel and product concepts.
• Creating General Arrangement Plans (for marine-specific projects).
• Developing preliminary 3D models for technical validation and presentation.
• Producing concept presentations and photorealistic renders.
• Managing projects during concept, tender, and bidding phases.
• Communicating with clients, representatives, shipyards, and contractor teams.
• Presenting project concepts effectively to clients and stakeholders.
• Documenting and presenting research findings and design outcomes.
• Supporting research and development of innovative, alternative ship, and product concepts.
• Providing technical support for projects under construction.

Qualifications and Skills Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Design Engineering, or Yacht Design.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Strong interest in innovative and sustainable design projects.
• Knowledge of international regulatory and classification standards is a plus.

Technical Skills:
• 3D Design Software: NX (preferred), SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Alias, Rhino, Unreal, Keyshot.
• 2D Design Software: AutoCAD or MicroStation, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (or Affinity Suite), Procreate.
• Analog Skills : Proficiency in hand sketching.

Conditions :
• Monday to Friday at the office in Monaco from 9am to 6 pm
• Fixed-term contract (CDD) for 1 year in Monaco, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent contract (CDI).
