Private Chef – Nutrition-Focused

We are seeking a health-conscious, down-to-earth private chef to join a warm, informal household. The principal is deeply interested in the impact of nutrition on internal health – particularly gut and stomach wellness – and seeks a chef who shares this mindful approach to food.

This is not a Michelin-style position, but one that requires genuine care, creativity, and sensitivity in preparing meals that are clean, nourishing, and supportive of overall well-being.

Tasks & Responsibilities :
• Prepare three daily meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner – with flexible mealtimes
• Start around 8:00–8:30 am – no need to remain for evening dinner service
• Cook primarily for the principal, with simple meals for 4 household staff members
• Design nutrient-dense, gut-friendly menus in collaboration with the house manager
• Adapt meals to the principal’s food sensitivities, even without formal dietary restrictions
• Work closely with two rotating kitchen assistants
• Oversee grocery shopping, pantry organization, and complete kitchen management (credit card provided)
• Ensure a clean, well-organized, and efficient kitchen environment
• Take time to understand the principal’s lifestyle, needs, and preferences
• Participate in a friendly, supportive household dynamic – no formal table service required

• Previous experience in a private household is essential
• Open to candidates with varying levels of professional experience, provided they are confident and capable
• English speaking candidates preferred
• Passionate about healthy, balanced, and intuitive cooking
• Comfortable cooking for someone with sensitive digestion or mild food tolerances
• Warm, humble, and team-oriented personality
• Self-motivated, efficient, and highly organized
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit
• Follow a monthly rotating schedule (5 working days/week, 2 days off)
